Valley Park @ 2521 Valley Drive

Fun begins @10 am

The Mission of Friends of the Parks Annual Pets in the Park event is to celebrate Pets in Hermosa Beach and provide services & education promoting responsible Pet Parenting. This is also an opportunity for our local small businesses to connect with the residents and promote their services.

With the funds raised at this event, Friends of the Parks can continue to champion the preserving, improving and promoting of Hermosa Beach parks and recreation programs for the benefit of the entire community- even the 4-legged variety! This event is FREE to attend - FOP appreciates all donations!

If your pet needs a checkup , a vaccination or micro-chipping, a local vet will offer FREE rabies shots and discounted vaccinations- no appointment necessary. If you haven’t registered your pet with the city, you will have the opportunity to get them licensed with no penalty.  Want to be a responsible pet owner but not sure of all Hermosa Beach laws?  A Hermosa Beach Community Services Officer will be available to answer your question. CERT will be available to show you CPR techniques to use on your pet.

Behavioral problems or new puppy that needs some training? We will have some of the best trainers in the South Bay happy to share pointers and lead your pup towards the path of excellent canine citizenship.   We are thrilled several rescue groups will participate in the event. If you are looking for a companion or to foster, on-site adoptions for cats, dogs & mini- horses  will be available.

Local clergy will be on hand to bless your animal and a professional photographer will be available to take family portraits (the first photo is free).

We will have face-painting and a DJ spinning tunes all day.

We hope you join us for a fun-filled morning with your family pets - EVERYONE is welcome!

Hermosa Beach Friends of the Parks non-profit corporation dedicated to identifying, prioritizing and fundraising for park and recreation improvements throughout the City of Hermosa Beach. In addition, FOP promotes the use of Hermosa Beach parks to the community and promotes the parks as a valuable resource to the city's residents and visitors. In-kind donations are also welcome, including items like stationery, stamps and other supplies. Of course, we also need volunteers to help staff our FOP events, as well the FOP booth at community events like Fiesta Hermosa.
